Namecheap Renewal Price (2026): .com, Hosting & EasyWP

Planning Namecheap domain and hosting renewal costs with a laptop and calendar

Namecheap renewal price depends on the product and billing period. A domain renewal, shared-hosting invoice and EasyWP subscription are separate charges. Use the current figures below to budget beyond a first-year offer.

Namecheap .com renewal price changed on November 1

Namecheap’s official notice effective November 1, 2026 lists regular .com registrations and transfers at $15.98/year, and renewals and reactivations at $19.98/year. Those figures exclude the ICANN fee. A qualifying promotion can change a new-purchase price; it does not establish the regular renewal rate.

Check the domain extension and exact action in your cart. Do not use an old screenshot, an expired before-November offer or another extension’s price as your .com renewal budget. Taxes, fees and account-specific adjustments can change the final amount.

Shared hosting renewal rates

The official shared-hosting notice says these renewal prices apply to invoices issued on or after May 19, 2026. Compare the billing period you actually selected.

Plan Monthly renewal Annual renewal Two-year renewal
Stellar $5.88 $55.88 $102.88
Stellar Plus $7.88 $85.44 $146.44
Stellar Business $11.88 $128.88 $251.88

The notice distinguishes a yearly trial’s first after-trial payment from subsequent renewals. Treat trial conversion and renewal as separate events. Check the applicable data-center choice, subscription details and invoice before relying on a listed total.

EasyWP is a separate subscription

The EasyWP pricing page checked for this guide displays Starter at $38.88 billed yearly, renewing at $68.88/year. Its $3.24 monthly equivalent refers to annual billing, not a $3.24 monthly-payment promise. Promotional pricing applies to the first billing cycle.

If you are still choosing a WordPress platform, read our Bluehost vs EasyWP comparison. Confirm the exact tier and current terms before switching an existing website.

A worked ongoing-cost budget

As an illustration, one regular .com renewal at $19.98 plus one annual Stellar renewal at $55.88 gives $75.86 before ICANN fees, tax and extras. Pairing that domain renewal with the displayed annual EasyWP Starter renewal instead gives $88.86 before those additions. These are alternative examples, not a bundle quote.

Keep email, backup services and optional tools on separate lines. If you use an external email provider, include its bill when comparing total website costs even though it is not charged by the hosting company.

Budget worksheet

  1. Write the domain renewal and mandatory fees.
  2. Add the hosting renewal for the same time period.
  3. Add each required mailbox or external email subscription.
  4. Add only the security, backup or other extras you intend to keep.
  5. Record each due date so a yearly average does not hide a large upcoming payment.

Can an offer reduce an existing renewal?

Only when its written terms cover that renewal and your account qualifies. Do not assume a coupon for a new domain, trial or hosting purchase also works for an existing subscription. Apply an eligible code before payment and inspect the revised total.

Use the Namecheap offer hub for the current promotion checklist. For seasonal shopping, the Black Friday status guide separates verified offers from unconfirmed future campaigns.

Renew or move?

Compare the saving with the work required. A domain transfer and a website migration are different operations. Either can involve planning around DNS, mail and access to the existing account.

Before moving hosting, download a backup, test the destination and check forms and email. Before transferring a domain, check eligibility and the effect on its dates and settings. Keep the original service active until the replacement works. A small discount does not justify rushed changes to a functioning business site.

Frequently asked questions

Does a .com sale apply to every customer?

No. Eligibility may depend on account status, action, term and promotion. Your cart must confirm the discount.

Are the table figures a guarantee of my next invoice?

No. They summarize the official published notice checked on November 2. Your actual subscription, billing period, fees and applicable terms determine the invoice.

Does buying hosting renew my domain?

Do not assume so. Inspect each service and due date separately in your account.

Should I disable renewal to save money?

Only change billing settings with a clear plan for retaining or ending the service. Missing a domain or hosting renewal can interrupt a site. Review costs early enough to make an orderly decision.
